Assist & Assure

‘Assist & Assure’ is a way of working to proactively identify and mitigate risk in work preparation and execution. Its primary objective is to avoid harm to those on the front line.

It focuses on creating a safe environment for open, engaging safety conversations meant to 'Assist' employees and contractors to work more safely, and it 'Assures' us both individually, and as a community in a proactive manner, that the conversations are consistent and effective leading to improvement in safety outcomes.

Safer Together offers face-to-face training, an e-Learn module, and support materials so that Member Companies can effectively deploy Assist & Assure in their workplace.

National Road Safety Week, 5-12 May 2024

Every year, approximately 1200 people are killed and another 44,000* are seriously injured on Australian roads. These numbers are growing every year but are preventable if we choose to Drive So Others Survive!

National Road Safety Week is an annual initiative from the Safer Australian Roads and Highways (SARAH) Group, partnering road safety organisations and Government. The week highlights the impact of road trauma and looks at the ways that we can reduce it.

Line of Fire

Line of Fire, put simply, is 'being in harms way'.

Safer Together has developed a mini-portal where you can find a range of information and tools designed to reduce Line of Fire incidents, designed as a 'one stop shop' to access a range of tools designed to reduce the incidence of line of fire incidents across our industry to support the reduction of Line Of Fire incidents. This portal pulls it all together in one place so that our front line teams can quickly access and use this valuable information
