Now Available: Offshore Vessel Deck Water Management Specification Articles • May 2021 One of the key risks that presents the most significant consequences to operators on the back decks of offshore vessels is ‘green water’ entering the deck that can cause deck cargo to move, wash vessel crew off their feet, and potentially cause fatal injuries. The Marine Working Group has developed an Offshore Vessel Deck Water Management Specification on the management of this risk through the use of vessel selection and additional technology that can be used on the vessel stern to manage water flow when it cannot be fully excluded. Focus On Fatigue – Land, Sea, and Air Articles • May 2021 Safer Together’s Aviation Working Group organised a 90 minute webinar on Fatigue Management in late April that brought together representatives from the Land Logistics, Marine and Aviation industry sectors of the Australian oil and gas industry to explore the challenges of, and approaches used to manage fatigue. The event also included a keynote speech from a renowned expert in the field of sleep science.

A New Approach to Fitness To Work Medical Assessments Articles • May 2021 Implementation Workshops were held in Brisbane on 20 May and Toowoomba on 25 May to launch the Safer Together Fitness To Work Medical Assessment Guideline and to provide initial implementation support for companies intending to adopt the Guideline, and for Health Practitioners that will carry out the FTW medicals for the Industry, to help them “hit the ground running”.

Call for Data: WA/NT Land Logistics Unified Non-Conformance Reporting (UNCR) Q1 2021 Articles • April 2021 Under the Uniform Non-conformance Reporting (UNCR) Program, Safer Together member companies involved in supply chain activities that support the WA/NT Oil & Gas Explortation and Production industry are required to report their logistics related non-conformances after the end of each calendar quarter, and provide their data using the online tool.
