Safer Together held a WA/NT Industry Safety Forum on the 9th of March 2021. The forum was held as a hybrid event (face-to-face and webinar) broadcast from the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre. The event was able to reach out to our industry’s remotest sites virtually, while safely provide an in-person opportunity for delegates.

Safer Together has created a single Roadmap for the Queensland Coal Seam Gas (CSG) Industry that covers 27,500 square kilometres of the CSG operations areas and includes geofenced speed zones and common points of interest consolidated from all four major operating companies (Arrow Energy, Origin Energy, Santos and Shell QGC). This Roadmap has been shared with providers of IVMS solutions.

Like many other companies, Coho Resources traditionally used a range of safety management tools such as Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to do pre-job risk assessments. But after a long run of good safety performance, a sudden rise in incidents was a wake-up call that signs of complacency were beginning to emerge. This led the team at Coho Resources to question just how effective the tools they had been using to date actually were.
