COVID testing
Principal Requirements
(suggested performance expectations for this part of the protocol)
21. Have in place an approved COVID-19 testing methodology, while ensuring the method does not put an unnecessary strain or compete with the public health system.
Guidance
(suggestions for practices to meet performance expectations)
- Maintain approved COVID-19 testing methodologies in line with public health / responsible officer advice.
- COVID-19 testing to be available at work sites, subject to capacity and availability of evidenced based protocols on applicability of use of the tests and required actions in response to non-negative and negative results, ensuring this does not compete with the public health system.
- Industry to be proactive at identifying possible alternate providers, so as not to compete with the public health system.
