Articles • January 2018 The launch of the new Safer Together Website at the December Industry Safety Forum was accompanied by a call to action – member companies should encourage all their staff to register on the new website so they can access all the great resources available.

Safer Together Best and Fairest in 2017 Articles • January 2018 In Australia we have a great tradition of recognising contributions of our sports stars. The Clive Churchill medal is awarded to the best player in the NRL Grand Final. The AFL present the Norm Smith medal to the ‘Best on Ground’. This year we have started what we hope will be an ongoing Safer Together tradition of recognising a Working Group member for their contribution. Although the award does not yet have an official name – we’re hoping that it will be called "Best and Fairest".

One Place for Everything. Come Visit! Articles • December 2017 A new hub for members to connect with, and access, all that Safer Together has to offer launched today. The new website focuses on easy access to Safer Together resources – products, initiatives, tools, training, news, events and more.

More than 300 Helping Hands Making a Difference in the Developing World Articles • December 2017 Since the launch of Helping Hands – Hand and Finger Preservation Program, Safer Together members have purchased more than 300 prosthetic hand kits. After these kits are assembled during our unique hand and finger safety awareness activity, these kits are donated to amputee landmine victims in the developing world.

QGC and Easternwell: Helping Hands – Partnering to Help Ourselves While Helping Others Case Studies • December 2017 In 2017, Easternwell and QGC have worked in partnership to reduce the incidence of hand and finger injuries. This hard work has paid off. The Assist and Assure Program and a focus on the 5 “Hands Free” Rules has resulted in no hand injuries during 2017.
