Water Crossing for Light Vehicles E-learn Safely Delivered to the Other Side

Following a series of high potential incidents with light vehicles attempting to cross flooded roads and waterways, the Qld Land Transport Working Group (LTWG) acted quickly to help people make better decisions regarding crossing flooded waterways, and in 2021 our Water Crossing for Light Vehicles Guideline was born.

Following the Auger Platform incident in the Gulf of Mexico in 2019 (resulting in multiple fatalities), a Lifeboats and Fast Rescue Craft (FRC) project team was put together by Safer Togethers’ Marine Working Group – with a view of developing a guidance for the management of offshore survival craft in Australian waters.
