We’ve released our next six-monthly Bulletin – keep up to date with the latest news about what’s happening in safety across our Industry. Industry safety performance declined through 2021. We experienced an increased number of significant incidents – primarily involving musculoskeletal injuries. In most cases the consequence of these incidents was fully realised.

Everyone who travels to and from the operational areas in the CSG industry has a goal of minimising vehicle kilometres travelled (VKT) as a means of reducing risk exposure. The use of buses and people movers is a good way to combine trips and minimise VKT – reducing resources required, increasing cost-efficient use of these resources, and minimising risk.

At our first Industry Safety Forum in Perth in 2018, a need was identified by our Member Companies for a localised Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) training course confirming to the requirements of an international Offshore Petroleum Industry Training Organization (OPITO) standard, but available for delivery in Perth, WA (too far from major population centres to typically host such training).
