Psychological and Psychosocial safety hazard risks are an increasing focus of attention when it comes to safety in our industry.  Our Health Working Group has created a one-stop Psychological and Psychosocial Safety Resources Portal collating all related materials, to better enable member companies to access and share resources.

Psychological safety is a belief that one will not be punished or humiliated for speaking up with ideas, questions, concerns or mistakes, and that the team is safe for interpersonal risk taking.

Psychosocial Hazards may cause psychological or physical harm, and arise from (or in relation to):

  1. The design or management of work
  2. The working environment
  3. Plant at a workplace, or
  4. Workplace interactions or behaviours

Existing resources and links included on the Portal include:

The Portal also provides a facility to share your psychological and psychosocial safety resources.

Click on the ‘submit a resource’ link and complete the online form. Attach your file(s) and submit.  A Health Working Group representative will be in touch to facilitate and finalise the sharing of these resources with our members.
