New Members and SLG Appointments

This month we have had some changes to our WA/NT Safety Leaders Groups (SLG) and have one new member company. There was no meeting in Qld this month.

Andrew O’Connor (Chevron) has been appointed to the WA/NT SLG.

Danny Woodall (Chevron) has stepped down from the SLG as Operator Co-Chair.

Nadia Ridge (Jadestone Energy) has been appointed Operator Co-Champion, Josh Harrison (GRPS) has been appointed Contractor Co-Champion and Vikki De Alwis (Chevron) has been appointed HSE Focal Point of our new Safe System of Work Working Group.

This month we would like to welcome one new member company, Adelaide Inspection Services.

Safety Leadership The Safety Leadership Working Group exists to support leaders demonstrate effective and visible safety leadership and behaviours. The emphasis of the Group is on everyone, at all levels of an organisation, being a Visible Safety Leader.

Competence & Behaviour The Competence and Behaviour Working Group exists to define a standard of safe working behaviour expected of all people in the industry and a common standard of competence to enable duties to be performed safely.

Land Transport/Logistics The Land Transport & Land Logistics Working Groups exist to minimise industry’s Total Recordable Incident Frequency Rate (TRIFR) attributable to road use & to promote safe operations in the Logistics sector of the Australian Energy Production Industry.

Process Safety The Process Safety Working Group exists to improve industry management of Major Accident Hazards.

Rig Site Safety The Rig Site Safety Working Group exists to improve the industry’s drilling and completions safety performance.

Aviation The Aviation Working Group exists to further safety and efficiency in aviation activities through collaboration between users and operators of aviation services.
