October is National Safe Work Month – a time when we deepen our commitment to building a safe and healthy workplace. Being healthy and safe means being free from physical and psychological harm. A safe and healthy workplace benefits everyone.
This year Safer Together will provide a resource pack and toolbox with the theme Safe Work is for Life. The focus will be on how to identify, assess, control and review Musculoskeletal Disorders (MSDs) – understanding that prevention is the best intervention.
The pack is designed to engage frontline workers on how they can contribute to preventing harm by getting involved in:
- actively sharing knowledge, stories, and ideas,
- contributing to organisational learning by openly participating in HSE activities,
- recognising others for working in a safe and environmentally responsible way, and
- taking ownership of issues and sharing learnings.
Campaign materials will be released in mid-September in readiness for National Safe Work Month in October.
