In late August the Safer Together team hit the Warrego Highway for our second and final Regional Roadshow for 2025.  The Roadshow concept, designed by our Engage and Embed Team to engage with member company representatives, deepen member understanding of Safer Together products and programs, support our members in the deployment of these programs, and to raise the profile of Safer Together in the region, has been a success on all counts.

The Roadshow commenced in Roma to an at-capacity audience, something repeated across the week.

The numbers don’t lie:

  • 20 face-to-face sessions across 4 locations (Roma, Chinchilla, Dalby and Toowoomba) over 4 days.
  • 275 attendees.
  • 42 companies represented across the week.
  • 12-member company delegates represented their Working Groups by presenting sessions.
  • 4 community venues hosted all day sessions.

Member-company subject matter experts delivered sessions on topics identified by Safer Together Working Groups by their relevance to industry activities across the Surat Basin, and as areas in which our members have requested implementation support.

Repeated across each location:

We would like to acknowledge the commitment demonstrated by our operator company Senior Leaders attending sessions and the Member Engagement Evening in each location; sharing stories, asking questions, and listening to contractor company delegates about how contractors and operators can streamline process and better work together to improve safety for workers in our industry by simplifying, standardising and/or sharing.

The Safer Together team, along with Working Group representatives have recorded a list of practical input, suggestions and feedback obtained from our member’s field-based representatives collated from all the Roadshow sessions and have since fed this back through to our Working Groups to inform areas for focus, improvement and 2026 work-planning.

We are Stronger and Safer Together.
