October is National Safe Work Month – a time when we deepen our commitment to building a safe and healthy workplace.  This year Safer Together will provide a resource pack with the theme “Not Safe? Not Sure? Speak Up!”.

Being healthy and safe means being free from physical and psychological harm.  A safe and healthy workplace benefits everyone.  This campaign will facilitate a dialogue among the frontline workforce about safety in our Industry.

Campaign materials will be released in September in readiness for National Safe Work Month in October.  They can be used either for a standalone Stand Together for Safety event (90 minutes), or during regular frontline workforce engagement as a series of three Stand Together for Safety toolbox talks (30 minutes each).

The campaign kit will have digital resources, including:

  • Campaign video
  • Slide pack to conduct Stand Together for Safety events or toolbox talks at your workplace,
  • Facilitator Guide
  • Poster
  • FAQs

The pack can be used to engage frontline workers on how they can recognise unsafe or unhealthy situations and reinforce a culture that empowers and supports every individual to stop work and report.

Our Stand Together for Safety resource pack supports the call by Scott Stewart MP, Qld. Minister for Resources, for companies across the Qld. resources sector to engage their workforce in a Safety Re-set campaign.

The campaign will run throughout October.
