Worker competence and safety behaviours are at the core of safety decisions our frontline workers make in their workplace every day. All New Starts shall satisfactorily complete the Industry Safety Induction (ISI) prior to working on the development or operation of Onshore or Offshore Facilities in the WA/NT or Qld Oil and Gas Exploration & Production Industry.
To ensure that New Starts to the industry have a successful start, the ISI gives HSE awareness about Australian Energy Production Industry to enable them to carry out their duties in the safest manner possible. We often refer to it is the first touch point for New Starts and the opportunity to introduce new workforce to our complex and diverse industry.
Safer Together's Industry Safety Induction is delivered in partnership with our Approved Program Providers who are driving consistency by standardising how we communicate with - and educate - New Starts in the Australian Energy Production Industry.
Courses are now available in the following locations:
- WA/NT - Perth, Darwin
- QLD - Brisbane, Toowoomba and Roma
- Virtual Instructor Led Training (VILT)
- Training providers can also deliver training in other locations or at your venue or location - just give them a call to discuss your needs (follow this link to the ISI page)
Companies and individuals can approach our Approved Program Providers for available ISI training dates.
Our Worker Competence Working Group works closely with all providers to maintain the quality of the delivery, material and overall experience.
