Another busy year lies ahead for the Safer Together Working Groups, with a wide range of important safety improvement projects planned for 2017. At the last Industry Safety Forum event in December 2016 we provided an overview timeline of what’s happening over the next 12 months so that member companies could look ahead and plan accordingly.

The outputs from each Working Group are divided into 3 categories:

  1. Standardisation initiatives(highlighted blue in the diagram) that will be contractually enforced by Operator companies. These will apply to everyone in the industry, regardless of whether or not they are a member of Safer Together.
  2. Major sharing initiatives(highlighted orange in the diagram) that will be actively promoted because although they are not mandatory, contractually enforceable initiatives, we still want to encourage take-up by member companies.
  3. Other sharing initiatives(highlighted green in the diagram) that will be available to member companies for them to adopt and use if they wish to.

How will you be kept informed?

A collated summary of progress will be provided in a monthly email bulletin – we won’t deluge your Inbox by sending you lots of emails.

But if you want to keep up to date with the latest developments in real time, we encourage you to visit the Safer Together website regularly. We’ll update the project pages and publish news articles each time there is something interesting to tell you about.
