It’s Time to Update the IVMS Specification

Safer Together introduced a Common In-Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS) Specification for the Queensland Natural Gas Exploration and Production Industry in 2015.
The Specification helped simplify and standardise IVMS requirements addressing settings for speed management, seat belts, fatigue management, harsh driving events and reporting.
Learning & Sharing: Marine IRP & Forum

The Improvements Project Team of the Safer Together Marine Working Group has continued to deliver one impressive Incident Review Panel (IRP) and Forum after another. The event on 14 November was filled with review of two very relevant incidents related to lifeboats and vessel operations, which generated robust discussion by participants and a challenge by a Woodside representative about what people will do differently when they go back to work after review of the latter incident.

The nature of our industry means that approximately 7000 individuals are working in remote locations in our industry. This means that many of our people cannot be evacuated to a hospital with 4 hours or may experience delays to delivery of medical care due to working at isolated locations.
