We couldn’t be happier with the outcome from our inaugural virtual Health Safety and Environment Representative (HSER) Lunch & Learn – ‘Sharing Success Stories’ in April.
Opened by Emma Gauld (HSEQ Manager – Energy, Monadelphous) who welcomed delegates before handing over to Tony Hurliman (HSER & Rope Access Technician, Monadelphous) presenting one of his successes from his role as a HSER, LADSAF for Ladders over 6m, a perfect example of being able to stop a job, speak up and raise safety concerns knowing you have the support of your company and your client.
Chris Maguire (HSR, Monadelphous) followed Tony with a presentation on the development of an HSER Action Tracker, which created consistent and clear channels for communication, with issue items remaining on the Tracker until closed out or resolved.
Tom Pettitt (Principal Consultant, Safer Together pointed out to delegates where they can find the Safer Together Success Story Template – and encouraged everyone listening to share their successes for use at our HSER Forum (12th June 2024, Darwin), at one of our Lunch & Learns, or in our HSER Connect Bulletin!
Safer Together’s HSER Video was introduced by Richard Stocker (Regional Director Asia & Pacific - Strategy & Growth, EnerMech), via this brief snapshot of all the HSER resources available on the Safer Together website.
Closing out the Lunch & Learn was Jenna Frzop (Senior HSE Adviser, INPEX) asking everyone ‘What would you like to see next?’, which generated a lot of discussion with delegates, giving us direction for our next HSER Lunch & Learn on 24th July 2024.
Safer Together is delighted to provide the platform for celebrating our HSERs wins - something we don't do enough of in our industry. Testing these waters for the first time, we couldn't be happier with the outcome.
