What Happened?
A drum roller was levelling the ground at a lease pad, travelling in reverse around the lease pad from the outside in towards the well head. The operator of the drum roller approached the well head in reverse and turned to go around the fence that surrounded it.
In the process of doing this, the operator reportedly perceived that the rear tyres were getting too close to the fence and tried to correct the drum roller’s course of travel. The operator steered the wrong way and the rear tyres reversed through the fence and over a cable tray, narrowly missing process infrastructure.
There was no loss of containment of gas, water or electricity. No injuries were sustained.
