National Road Safety Week 2026
National Road Safety Week is an annual initiative from the Safer Australian Roads and Highways (SARAH) Group, partnering road safety organisations and Government. The week highlights the impact of road trauma and ways to reduce it. This year the Safer Together campaign is “Driven to Distraction”.
Distraction plays a significant role in Australian Road Safety, contributing to about one in six serious crashes and substantially increasing collision risk. Distraction is one of the fatal five factors in road safety and it’s what Safer Together is focussing on for National Road Safety Week this year.
