Our Cranes and Lifting Working Group is proud to announce the launch of the Offshore Crane Inspection and Maintenance Competence Guideline.

The Guideline is intended for use by companies involved in the Oil and Gas Exploration and Production Industry in Australia.

The scope covers inspection and maintenance activities for cranes on offshore facilities.

The purpose of this Guideline is to provide guidance to operators and service companies with regards to the minimum competence required for offshore crane inspectors and maintenance technicians and is meant to assist companies in demonstrating that competence for these roles is documented in a uniform manner to meet accepted practice of our member companies.

Further information, including materials designed to support implementation of the Guideline is available on the website.
