This year, Safer Together partnered with the National Road Safety Week’s (NRSW) annual initiative highlighting the impact of road trauma - from the Safer Australian Roads and Highways (SARAH) Group, delivering a campaign and resource pack we released to Member Companies in early May.
Throughout May, all Working Groups commenced meetings with the NRSW video as its’ Safety Moment, and though not requested; a moment of silence followed each viewing while the impact of Peter Frazer’s (Founder & President, SARAH Group) story filtered through.
During May, the NRSW resource pack was downloaded over 600 times, with the videos viewed almost 3,500 times across our platforms – a lot of reach that we hope has a positive impact on road safety outcomes across our industry and in our personal lives.
National Road Safety week was also a focus of our Land Transport Working Group Lunch & Learn and aligns with our Q2 Theme: Preventing Personal Injuries.
The resources developed for this campaign are relevant year-round, and remain available for all Member Companies to access, download and distribute in all their worksites for safety moments, toolboxes and as conversation starters.
Thanks to our Collaboration Partner, the SARAH Group for their contribution to the success of this campaign.
Road safety resources are also available in our Sharing Library and initiatives via our Land Transport/Land Logistics Working Group page.
