The 2018 Safer Together MarineSafe Forum, held on 7 November, focused on Human Performance Improvement. Led by Shane Bush, a Human Performance Technologist from the University of Idaho, the forum was an interactive, engaging and informative session. Participants left the day with an understanding of how to apply Human Performance Improvement within their own organisations.
Shane remarked "It's really exciting being here today to introduce Human Performance as a new way of thinking to an industry that hasn't really been exposed to it before – In the old days a lot of people focussed on the worker and what the worker did and how do we fix the worker. What human performance does is it balances that – as far as the organisational processes, the tools, the equipment and the communication".
