For the final Incident Review Panel of 2024, our Qld. Land Transport Working Group focussed on our Quarter 4 Theme – Wellbeing and Work Environment.

Peter Runge (Origin Energy) welcomed delegates before handing over to Daniel Smith (Toll) who presented on Toll's approach to managing Health and Wellbeing in their workplace, including:

  • Their approach to managing psychosocial hazards,
  • Detail on Toll’s Employee Assistance Program, and
  • Toll’s Healthy Heads in Trucks & Sheds program; designed to empower people in the road transport, warehousing and logistics industries to meaningfully connect and genuinely ask “R U Ok?”.

An incident presentation followed from Robert Petrevski (Veolia) on Vehicle Rollovers, before an innovation presentation from Susan Pacey (Aspen Medical) - who presented the Health Working Group Initiatives Heat Stress e-Learn Tool and on Fatigue Risk Management Systems, including a walk-through our new Fatigue Risk Management Guidance and Individual Fatigue Risk Management Assessment Tool.

Travis Kearsley (Arrow Energy) followed Susan with another incident presentation, ‘Time Pressure and Driver Wellbeing’.

Adam Fitz-Henry (Qteq) presented delegates with a Land Transport Working Group update that included a look-ahead to 2025, before thanking delegates (virtual and in-person) for their participation.
