Collaboration Partners - Step Change in Safety

Step Change in Safety is a not-for-profit, member-led organisation which aims to make the UK the safest oil province in the world to work in. Step Change in Safety was founded in 1997 by the oil and gas industry trade associations. Since 2014, Step Change in Safety has been an independent tripartite organisation which represents the workforce, regulators and employers.

Collaboration Activities

  • Safer Together has enjoyed a productive and close relationship with Step Change in Safety since our inception. Step Change in Safety was instrumental in our formation back in 2014.

  • Commencing in 2023 we have joined forces with Step Change in Safety (UK) and Always Safe (Norway) by introducing quarterly safety themes that focus on a different topic every three months.  During each quarter we collate a range of resources and tools to assist our members engage and educate their workforce. Each quarterly campaign is actively promoted across our social media channels.
