Safer Together WA/NT: Reaching out in Perth and Darwin Articles • May 2018 Safer Together WA/NT is a member-based organisation. Upcoming Event: Safer Together DCIIRP and DrillSafe Forum Articles • May 2018 A DCIIRP/DrillSafe/DrillWell Forum will be held in Brisbane on Wednesday 6 June 2018. This event is jointly organised by Safer Together and DrillSafe and will take place at the Mercure Hotel. A networking event will be held on the evening prior, Tuesday 5 June.
Common Industry Competencies Expanded Articles • May 2018 Safer Together has identified huge value in streamlining some of the competencies that are shared across our industry, and has recently expanded the scope of the Common Industry Competencies (CIC) Specification.
ISI Changes: Price Reduced and New Pathway for Experienced Workers Articles • May 2018 From 1 May 2018 the cost of the Industry Safety Induction (ISI) is reduced by $100 per participant for members of Safer Together. People who have worked in the Queensland Natural Gas E&P Industry for more than 12 months in the last 2 years will now be able to complete an Experienced Worker Declaration Form as evidence that they are not required to undertake the ISI prior to starting work.

Establishment of QLD Fitness for Work Working Group - Call for Nominations Articles • May 2018 Fitness for Work is recognised as being an important topic for our industry and one where a significant opportunity exists for greater levels of standardisation. The Queensland Safety Leaders Group recently agreed that a Working Group should be formed to progress work on developing an industry framework for Fitness for Work medical assessments.
